Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: SR 30 roadcut near Long Lake, Hamilton County, New York.
Description: Transparent yellow calcite crystal with elongated six-sided prismatic form. The calcite surfaces are complexly patterned, typical of this locality. See article: Mineralogy of the Calcite-Fluorite Veins near Long Lake, NY in Mineralogical Record v. 31 #5. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 25x10x9 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 25 mm.
